It kind of just spoils the fun! What’s the likelihood of my generally nice character saying something that offends the other if we had known?I have to remind myself constantly that they don’t know much about them yet.

I much prefer learning along the way like in a regular story. And so do my characters. Eventually, when they know each other well enough, I might go back and read that bio. But for the starting of a roleplay, it feels like one big spoiler.

Sorry. No. This is bullshit. You need to read a bio before interacting so that you’ve got a general gist of what the character you’re interacting with, is like. They could be an AU for all you know. Sorry, but this post is BS.

Honestly, anyone can do whatever the fuck they want, when roleplaying. 

If you read the bio, great.

If not, still great.
